Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location:Brentwood
Rate:£40K to £50K Per Year
Description: Cloud Engineer needed for this well established and innovative payment processing business. Working in a mixed Unix and Windows virtual environment the role will involve migrating then managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure services and multiple cloud server instances. As well as this you will be responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly.

The right person will be a confident communicator who enjoys the challenge of leading a busy team and has hands-on technical experience in environment automation / management and continuous improvement.

Technically, you will have a good mix of:

* Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.
* Scripting experience: Strong scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python) and automation skills.
* AWS: 1+ years’ experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
* Networking: Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, SMTP).

Any of the following would be a real advantage:

* Experience with private, hybrid or public cloud technology.
* Experience migrating Windows or Linux
* DB Skills: Basic DB administration experience (SQL Server, MySQL)
* Systems Design/Programming (Linux or Windows)
* Jira / Confluence administration
