Oracle DBA/Database Administrator

Managing the Production servers and databases so that: -The servers and databases are available and perform well during core business hours. -The databases are backed up in a manner that meets Recovery Point Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives. -The database backups are tested periodically. -Normal best practice DBA activities are performed. -Change scripts are deployed in a consistent, reliable and verifiable manner. -Data is protected from accidental and malicious damage. -Data changes are deployed in a consistent, reliable and verifiable manner. -Deploying standard solutions to routine errors. -The environment is checked and monitored for failures including data replication failures, administrative and application job failures. -New Servers are installed and configured in compliance with team defined standards. -Documenting and automating
regular processes. Troubleshooting of Database replication issues, performance issues, application errors and server and database outages. -Adhere to security systems policies and procedure. -Participate in operational readiness reviews. -Provide representation in change approval board meetings. -Reviewing and approving patches and releases. Liaising and consulting with other teams; providing SQL expertise and DBA process advice as required
