Job Title: Competency Assurance Administrator
Location:Aberdeen

Description: Our Operator client is seeking a Competency Assurance Administrator who can join their Aberdeen Team for a period of 12 months.

The Competence Assurance Administrator is responsible for maintaining all administrative activity contained within the Competence Assurance Framework, Units of Competence, and Performance Standards and associated recording systems.

This will include the planning; organising; and evaluation of competence in the job role, requiring close liaison with site technical experts at various sites.

This critical role will ensure that all the relevant documentation is captured within the associated recording systems to support all personnel working within and supporting Operations.

Demonstrating that the required levels of competence and assurance are held, which includes required frequency of assessment to work safely and efficiently and we have a suitably skilled workforce.
Reporting to the Competence Assurance Manager and ensuring continual liaison with all stakeholders including the senior members and team leads.
The role will also be required to manage a Competence Assurance database, producing management information and visual management via KPI’s for all aspects of the competence framework.

They are responsible for E&P competence and control of the Competence Assurance database. In addition they will support the Competence Assurance Manager to develop the annual competence assurance budget.
A key part of the role is the production of management information for monthly/quarterly reports.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support the development of site, business and portfolio competence assurance plans in a timely manner in order to identify technical and legislative training needs.
Manage the competence assurance register and build effective relationships with assessors, influencing quality and cost effectiveness.
Co-ordinate competence activities, ensuring appropriate facilities are in place at all times and that pre-event briefings are communicated effectively.
The job holder will play a vital role with responsibility for assisting in, the structure of Assessors and Verifiers, standardisation meetings and ensuring they are following correct process.
Helping to driving competence through Performance management in business metrics, Innovative comms and attendance and documenting minutes from MCRS meetings.
Manage Competence and Job Profiles in the Competence Assurance database.
Supporting activity for any audit and inspections that involve Competence. Preparing pre packs ensuring compliance is in place for all procedural activity.
Review content and ensure up to date information is documented in process and procedures relating to Competence.


Development, approval and communication of site, business and portfolio competence plans.
Efficient management of the competence assurance database.
Efficient utilisation of resources and facilities to meet the diverse needs of the portfolio.
Accurate and timely provision of management information.

Accomplished IT skills in Word Processing and database management.
Working knowledge of presentation packages such as PowerPoint and Excel. A working knowledge of SAP applications
A nationally recognised qualification in assurance is desirable, though broad experience in administration within an assurance environment will provide equivalent underpinning knowledge.
Qualifications to national level as an NVQ assessor, as the job holder will be required to support the implementation of a competence assurance framework.
Understanding how different communication channels work and the benefits of each type. Understanding and use of feedback mechanisms to ensure constant improvement. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor communications to the audience.
