Hours of work: 8:30-5pm Mon – Thurs, 8:30-3pm Friday.



Overview

This exciting new role comes with our client who provides software and hardware development services for industries reliant upon their legacy systems, especially where safety is paramount. Their solutions are used in many industries, including power generation.



The role

Your duties will include:

* To provide EC&I technical support for day to day Engineering and Maintenance activities at various sites across Lancaster and Morecambe and occasionally Sellafield.
* To take responsibility for trouble shooting assigned EC&I problems, resolving and documenting issues.
* To be responsible for the implementation and feedback of preventative maintenance work, defect rectification, emergent and project work relating to equipment.
* The production and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, work plans, project scoping documents and contractor work scopes.
* Responsible for assigned specification and procurement of spares/replacement equipment in line with site quality procedures.
* To co-ordinate and monitor assigned maintenance contracts, balancing key business safety and commercial goals and through effective auditing, ensuring quality and safety standards.
* To understand the requirements of current standards and key legislation, including DSEAR, EAWR & HASAWA, and work to ensure full compliance.
* To be fully conversant with the company’s Safe Working Procedures and following relevant training.



You

Ideally you will have/be:

* HNC /HND or equivalent in instrument measurement and control or electrical engineering or above. Desirable qualifications or certification include Degree in relevant discipline; Member of a professional institution; CompEx qualified; IOSH qualified.
* You will come from a time served apprenticeship in Instrument or Electrical, discipline or have relevant post qualifying work experience. You will have operational knowledge of power generation.
* It would be desirable for you to have HV electrical experience and knowledge of ISO9000 quality system. You will have a good understanding of process instrumentation, 4-20ma, HART etc. and be 17th Edition trained.
* Have a full clean driving licence.
* CTC cleared would be desirable but not essential.
