Job Title: Production System IT Support Specialist

Description: Our client, a leading Aquaculture / Fish and Seafood Farming Company based on the West Coast of Scotland is seeking an experienced IT Systems Support Specialist for a new manufacturing plant.

This role represents an excellent chance for a complete lifestyle change and relocation a truly beautiful part of the UK. Ideally you will experience of a factory or production line systems.

The primary focus of the role will be to support, maintain and develop a large feed processing system comprising of multiple databases and servers under the direction of the Feed Plant Manager and IT Manager whilst ensuring that security, integrity and availability of data to/from primary systems, third-party integrations, customer documents, invoices and quality trace-ability are maintained.

Principle responsibilities will include analysis, specification, design, maintenance and development of new or existing feed processing systems to increase functionality, flexibility and to ensure systems take advantage of contemporary technology within any financial constraints.

Applicants will preferably have a minimum of two years’ experience supporting IT systems in a factory/processing environment. A strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL administration and data analysis skills and an understanding of software API calls and their usage are essential. Applicants must also possess good communication, design and problem solving skills.

The post will attract a highly competitive remuneration package which will include a relocation allowance. Full clean driving licence is essential.
