Job Title: Key Account Manager – Animal Heath, UK

Description: A unique opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager with expertise within the Animal Heath area to join a renowned pharmaceutical organisation based in the UK. Our client is a global pharmaceutical company they have a diverse range of products covering numerous therapy areas, as well as an impressive portfolio of Animal Health products. Within this role you will:

• You will be responsible for leading and managing existing key accounts on a national and regional basis
• Your sound knowledge and experience within the Animal Health market will play a large impact on developing and reinventing marketing strategies for the business
• Prioritization measured by consistent use of Account Management tools
• Key account management, relationship building, prospecting and focused targeting of key opportunities and scope for business development for defined product portfolio
• Consultatively understanding customer needs, wants and desires and ensuring that appropriate products are positioned with the customer to fulfil their requirements, whilst maximizing revenue and brand awareness of the brand
• Passionately lead and drive new business campaigns and effective sales strategies using customer insights information
• Drive commercial initiatives through excellent planning and communication with the sales, marketing, finance, research, customer insights, logistics, procurement, development and design teams
• Working with the multi-channel team to develop strategies for development of business plans to support your activities and objectives

You will bring to the role:

• Advanced degree
• A proven manager from within the pharmaceutical or animal health markets
• Exceptional relationship building skills and strong commercial acumen and awareness.
• The ability to negotiate and problem solve – forging strong long term professional relationships
• Good understanding of marketing and business functions with a strong focus on strategic thinking and business impact Excellent understanding of CRM, sales process and account management
• Good leadership and communication skills both orally and written
• A team player, with the ability collaborative with peers across a business matrix
• A deep understanding of the animal health environment is beneficial
• English is required
