Job Title: IT Security Analyst

Description: We currently require the services of an IT security Analyst (contract) for an organisation based in Merseyside.

Job Purpose

* Define and manage the Information Technology (IT) Security aspects for a diverse range of projects in addition to existing IT systems.
* Assist the Head of Information Security and Project Manager(s) to deliver timely and cost effective projects, whilst helping ensure proposed IT solutions are secure and aligned to the long-term objectives of the Group.
* Manage Information Security ‘incidents’ within the Incident Management framework.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills and experience;

Essential

* Experience of working as a Security Analyst in a business as usual (BAU) support or project delivery environment.
* Advanced working knowledge of IT Security systems and techniques, such as network security, penetration testing and web security.
* Experience of working with multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
* Effective negotiation skills and the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
* Proven track record of working with a limited brief and guidance to a successful outcome.
* Customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels within the business.
* Ability to show initiative and propose solutions to issues identified.
* Results focussed with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
* Commercially aware with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business/operational priorities.
