Job Title: Qhse Engineer / Quality Engineer

Description: QHSE Engineer / Quality Engineer, Stretton, Leicestershire

The QHSE Engineer will be responsible for performing a variety of activities to support the QHSE Department including developing and maintaining the Company’s quality, health & safety and environmental management procedures, standards and specifications, manage the ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements, perform audits and provide training to uphold excellent QHSE standards.

The QHSE Engineer will monitor and advise on the performance of the integrated QHSE management system, producing data and reports which will be measured against set standards. Where appropriate, the QHSE Manager will advise on changes and how to implement them whilst providing training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve QHSE standards.

* Responsible for the overall QHSE activities established within the Company to include the development, update and maintenance of all documented systems and procedures, including the Integrated QHSE Manual.
* Develop, implement and maintain a continuous improvement programme across all projects.
* To plan and monitor internal and external audits of the companies QHSE management system providing feedback to implement improvement.
* Sign off Project Final Inspection Release Certificates and items relating on the Inspection Test Plan ready for the Material Data Record.
* To provide QA, QC and HSE support to all departments.

Ensure manufacturing or production processes meet national and international standards and HSE legislation.

* Look to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
* To understand and work to Company guidelines and observe all Company policies.
* Responsible for QHSE activities established within the Company to include the development, update and maintenance of all documented systems and procedures.
* Carry out physical dimensional and visual inspections of both in-house and supplier manufactured equipment.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Training in engineering and fabrication inspection techniques and acceptance standards and a high level of QHSE experience, relevant HSE qualification. An understanding of engineering certification requirements and risk management techniques. Experience of Non-destructive testing techniques and weld inspection.
* Qualified CSWIP level 3.0 visual weld inspector (or equivalent).
* Experience in a QHSE Engineering role within an Engineering/Manufacturing site or similar industry, or experience in QHSE in a similar field and a relevant formal qualification would be preferred.
