Job Title: Sales And Estimating Engineer (Aerospace)

Based Romford, Essex

Our client specialize in the supply of C-Class, B-Class and other fast moving consumable parts to the Aerospace sector. Focusing on Supply Chain Management from the forecast requirement to parts on the production line they have significant forecasting expertise helping them achieve 99.5% product availability for their customers.

We are searching for a driven and enthusiastic engineering sales professional ideally from the aerospace sector, to produce bids, proposals and quotations for presentations to existing customers and new prospects.

You will be working alongside all other technical and sales teams liaising with all management levels so will need gravitas and personality to build good internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop customer relationships seeking and establishing news sales and or market opportunities
* Preparation of customer bid packages
* Ensure successful delivery of accurate quotations in a timely and customer focused manner
* Liaise with internal departments, as required to obtain estimation costs
* Manage customer expectations effectively, considering that Net Profit is the key driver to the business
* Understand and balance the relationship between service and cost at all times
* Lead NPI projects ensuring timescales are achieved at or better than quoted costs
* ‘Cradle to Grave’ project planning to ensure timely completion of projects
* Liaise with all internal stakeholders to manage assigned projects
* Create all relevant Engineering ERP data such as BOMs (Bill of Materials) and routings
* Drive implementation of lessons learned improvements
* Support standardisation/workplace improvement via implementation of standards and processes
* Develop new customers and relationships that lead through to new sales
* Develop a portfolio of accounts which you will manage

* Attend sales meetings (UK wide)



Candidate Essential Skills and Experience:

* Educated to Degree level in a related discipline e.g. Engineering or Commercial
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical sales role (ideally within aerospace)
* Project planning experience
* Technical quotation experience – ideally engineering
* Gravitas and able to present information clearly and concisely at all levels
* Good written communication abilities for presentations and bids etc.
* Self-motivated individual with desire to get on and progress within the organisation
* Able to multi-task co-ordinating a number of tasks simultaneously
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
