Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Description: Payroll Specialist - Central London - 30,000-40,000

I am currently working with a key client of ours who are looking to bring on a payroll specialist who will manage the payroll process from start to finish. This will be a sole position and you will be ensuring that all employee's are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with the reward and Benefits team in administering benefits through payroll where necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accountable for the administration and delivery of the firm’s monthly in-house payrolls (an employee payroll of approximately 260 and a partner payroll of approximately 55) from start to finish in a standalone role
• Carry out all required regulatory procedures, such as the monthly full payment submissions and employer payment summaries
• Co-ordinating and addressing daily enquiries from employees and partners
• Payroll tax year end procedures including P60's and P11D's
• To work in partnership with the HR Operations team to ensure all changes are captured in Sage and accurately reflected in the monthly payroll
• Keep up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance
• Monthly commission calculation for employees, partners and consultants. Informing the relevant individuals of commission due and answering queries from fee earners
• Project work and additional tasks as required
• Ability to undertake manual calculations typically for out of cycle payments.
• Working closely with Reward & Benefits Analyst administering benefits through payroll where necessary.
• Reconciling monthly payroll to general ledger and ensuring accurate amounts are paid to HMRC through RTI.
• Process improvement and streamlining current processes where required.

Requirements:

• Advanced Sage payroll knowledge, be able to hit the ground running
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of payroll and benefits related practice and processes
• Intermediate excel skills including knowledge of vlookups, pivot tables and filters
• Up-to-date technical payroll and benefits knowledge including the ability to manually calculate income tax and national insurance
