Job Title: Service Desk Analyst - IT

Rate:£111.00 Per Day

The main duties for this position is to work with the Service Request team to complete user requests in a timely manner, effectively deliver day to day support to users of services and provision of technical support. Also will be expected to input into the planning and delivery of new technologies.

Main Operational Duties :

Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software used both remotely and within the field.

Install and configure new hardware and software in line with current standards and policy

Effectively provide a fault repair service to users of hardware to include initial diagnosis and subsequent appropriate action, including the use of warranty and maintenance contracts.

Ensure that records and logs of all such faults are maintained and provide summary information when requested

Be responsible for the day to day operation of the local and wide area networks in co-ordination with the Support Team.

Effectively maintain inventories of all hardware and software used within the Support Partnership in co-ordination with the Support Team.

Responsible for the effective maintenance of up to date computer based records of all hardware used within the Support Partnership with particular regard to new hardware purchases and allocation and also to subsequent re-allocation or replacement of hardware.

Responsible for the effective maintenance of up to date computer based records of all software used within and purchased by the Support Partnership with particular regard to software licences held.

Skills and Experience Required

Service Desk Experience
Able to work effectively as part of a busy team
Strong IT Skills and Knowledge
Experience with Active Directory and Exchange 2007 is essential
Commvault or equivalent backup knowledge is desirable
