Contract opportunity for an experienced IP and Data migration project engineer to join an international telecommunications company on a long term project to take ownership for the technical migration, configuration and delivery of customer data solutions across a global WAN MPLS.

The Cisco IP Network Implementation / Deployment / Provisioning / Migration Engineer is accountable for the technical coordination, gathering and validation of circuit data for customer solutions routed through the global IPVPN network. The primary element of the role is to ensure that the customer circuit migration pipeline into is built and maintained to ensure that the project achieves the circuit migration targets. The keys tasks are to work with the project data records and the networks team to batch customer circuits, migration requests and to resolve any requests for data provision or clarification from the team.

* Provide technical support and coordination advice & support for IPVPN customer migrations
* Work as part of the project team to act as the interface between the various functions
* Check and validate customer circuit data and build a pipeline of infrastructure migrations
* Coordinate circuit migration activities which arise as the result of IP network changes / POP closures
* Ensure circuit migration outages are scheduled, communicated and implemented efficiently
* Coordinate, track and monitor when legacy IPVPN devices can be decommissioned
* Build professional working relationships with customers, third parties and internal stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have CCNA / CCNP certifications along with network implementation and some project coordination experience in IP / MPLS along with MetroE / transmission. Candidates should have experience with some of the following:

* Cisco Routers CRS 12000 series
* Alcatel Lucent 7750, 7450, 7210
* Domain knowledge of IP/MPLS, MetroE

Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confidence and professionalism both in working with multinational project teams and with clients on various levels of the organisation, from technical audiences to senior management and analytical and critical thinking; innovative problem solving capability for complex customer requirements. Self-starter with a clear can-do mentality, ability to work under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders.
