Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location:Edinburgh
Rate:£26K to £29K Per Year    Benefits: overtime/vehicle/laptop
Description: FINTEC recruit is seeking a Field Service Engineer for our engineering client based in Edinburgh (UK wide travel). Base salary 26k to 29k depending on experience plus overtime, company vehicle, laptop etc. This is field based across the UK, approx. 20 to 30% of time office based. Travel away from home approx. 3 or 4 nights per week and working outdoors. Training will be given on specific equipment used. Electro/mechanical experience and skills required.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Installation, commissioning, calibration of specialist monitoring equipment located at airports
* Installation, calibration, commissioning and fault-finding of railway remote monitoring equipment.
* Commissioning and customer training of measurement and related equipment.
* Conducting friction measurement surveys training customers on use of equipment.
* Client facing in building positive relationships
* Produce reports and liaison with other technical staff

Requirements:

* Proven field service experience with electro-mechanical equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
* Ability to self-motivate and a positive “can-do” attitude.
* Good literacy skills.
* Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
* Familiarity with tools, test equipment and Office software applications.
* Technical degree or certification.
* Fit to work outdoors and climb ladders.
