Job Title: QA & Ppap Facilitator

Our client is looking to recruit this role on a 8 month contract



The Resposibility



* To support the Quality Manager in pursuing business objectives
* T o prepare the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) packages for submission.
* To liaise with multiple sites to ensure all elements of the PPAP packages are completed on time in order to support the committed deadlines.
* To assist in the generation and submission of FAIR’s (First Article Inspection Reports).
* To ensure continuity of production of quality parts ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
* To ensure that quality, cost and delivery are continually improved.
* To ensure that all work meets customer (internal and external) expectations on delivery and quality.
* To be flexible, adaptable and move between work areas.



1 ROLE

2.1 Key Role Description:

1 To generate the required elements of UPPAP in order to obtain full approval of the production part including:

1 Reviewing contract documentations.
2 Reviewing Engineering drawings and specifications.
3 Generate production flow charts
4 Lead teams through FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) process.
5 Generate control plans and link in to the procedures and work instructions.
6 Be involved in Process Readiness Reviews held on site by the customer.
7 Conduct MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) studies and present a Gauge R&R to demonstrate accuracy of the measuring system.
8 Collate ESA (Engineering Source Approval) documentation.
9 Prepare dimensional reports and FAI data from the CMM reports.
10 Collate all NDT approvals and also the Special Process approval documentation.
11 Collate the Material Certification and Approval documentation (including all cut-up testing reports).
12 Obtain packaging approval from the customer.
13 Obtain Part Marking Approval from the customer.

2 Work on submissions for, and liaise with multiple Wyman-Gordon sites to generate the packages.
3 Liaise with the customer in order to achieve full approval.
4 To balance and plan personal workload, achieve the best quality and performance standards for the Quality team.



2.2 Possible Areas of Involvement:

1 To prepare certification and shipping documents.
2 To assist with NCR processing.
3 To archive records.
4 Complete internal audits.
5 Work on Corrective Action Reports.
6 To liaise with customers, suppliers, third parties and other companies within the group (Livingston).
7 To ensure that high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are met.
8 To develop efficient working processes and seek ways to continuously improve all aspects of your own job.
9 To work to achieve, the performance measures identified within the team and unit and help to aid two-way communications.
10 To identify own training needs with the Quality Manager and assist with training others once competent.
11 To undertake additional training in line with the company needs



2.3 Key Skills/ Qualities/ Experience:

1 Good working knowledge of Aerospace Quality systems (AS9100).
2 Experience in PPAP process.
3 Fully proficient in Excel for data compilation and analysis. (Ideal to have experience of Minitab for data analysis).
4 Computer literacy – specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
5 Experience in technical/ quality report writing.
