Job Title: Health And Social Care Assessor

Description: Our client is looking for a qualified or Trainee Health and Social Care Assessor to join their team in a field based role travelling throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and North Hampshire.

Are you currently working in the Care sector as a Care Home Manager or Care Manager? Are you looking for a job where you can use your skills and expertise to train others to be amazing Carers?

For this role It is preferred that candidates hold a CAVA / TAQA, A1 or D32/ D33 Assessing Award although is not essential as for the right candidate full training and support will be provided for you to become a qualified Assessor.

You will need a strong background in Health and Social Care (Adult / Elderly Care) to Supervisory / Managerial level.

It is essential that you have experience of working within the Care industry to management level and a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Care. Our client is looking for Qualified Trainer Assessors with experience delivering qualifications up to Level 5. They also offer a free and full induction and training package to all.

As of one their Assessors you will be working across the Thames Valley area, having a base in the office alongside your colleagues and Area Manager. They expect that you will spend at least 4 days a week out and about visiting your learners and employers in their workplaces, which can range from residential care homes to domiciliary care in the community

Ideally you will have experience of working in a variety of environments and roles within residential and domiciliary care to managerial level with adult/elderly service users.

You will travel to meet learners that are completing Apprenticeships in their own place of work and you will also deliver Functional Skills.

Key tasks:

• Signing learners onto Apprenticeships and other qualifications
• Offering information, advice and guidance and carrying out initial assessments
• Progressing learners through their qualifications through observation, work product, written evidence
• Delivering functional skill components

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday

Holidays: 25 days per annum + Bank holidays

Salary: 24,000 - 28,000 p/a (Dependent on Skills, qualifications and experience)
