Careline is a 24 hour Personal Emergency Response Service who, at a push of a button, can help in times of crisis. We are looking to recruit flexible colleagues to assist in the provision of our Careline Service and out of hour’s telephone answering service. The shifts will range from mornings, evenings, nightshift and weekends.
Duties primarily involve: • Answering calls from service users who need to summon assistance • Operating our computerised central control console • Maintaining records of calls and liaising with emergency contacts as appropriate. • Accurate and efficient data entry. Also, responding to email correspondence Calls can range from persons seeking advice, reassurance or calls requiring the emergency services. As many of our service users are elderly and/or vulnerable, then the ability to respond to the public in a caring and sympathetic manner is essential. We also use a computer based platform for both call handling and updating client records, so experience with ICT and software is essential.
