Job Role:
To ensure quality of drawings provided in the factory and to suppliers are to an appropriate standard. Perform drawing changes as required, in Pro Engineer Wildfire &/or CimCad. Share responsibilities of engineering projects through to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Primary Functions
• Work under direct guidance of Design Engineer
• Provide CAD drawings and models as required, predominantly in ProE but also in
CimCAD packages.
• Working from written and verbal instruction or specification.
• Ensure that all drawings are created maintained to the appropriate standard for both
internal and sub contract manufacture
• Load & maintain MRP system with BOMs in line with drawings and request / co-ordinate
costings for quotation purposes
• Provide some design input under guidance
PERSON PROFILE (Person Spec)
Required
• Qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline and able to demonstrate an acceptable level of competency.
• Ability to produce, read and check engineering drawings using ProE
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of mechanical engineering discipline
Preferable
• Ability to identify and resolve problems using contemporary techniques.
• Ability to produce, read and check engineering drawings using Cim/CAD
• Knowledge of hydraulic component and preferably system function.
• Some ability to read hydraulic circuits.
• Good communicator, using all media.
