Job Title: Customer Service Advisor
Job Description: An exciting opportunity to join a new team supporting customers and staff of a nationwide retail organisation has arisen in the Doncaster area. Customer Service professionals are being recruited to ensure that all customers, whether internal or external, are handled to the highest standard, and to ensure that the organisation is seen as the best in the marketplace.

This position involves taking charge of customer queries and issues, whether by telephone, post, email or fax. Queries could come from external customers, associates working in branches of the store around the country, or other internal departments. The queries could be relating to a really wide range of issues from congratulating someone on excellent customer service, to asking about product availability, to complaining about products or staff members.

You will be expected to take charge of each query, to be assertive and confident in your communications with all customers, and to deliver the highest level of customer service. In the current retail climate, the most important thing is ensuring that the customer feels trusted, important and pleased with every transaction to ensure continued loyalty to the organisation in future purchases.

This is a very varied and busy role, where no two days will be the same. The position is challenging, but also very rewarding and is an excellent opportunity to join a global market leader.

We are looking for outstanding candidates for this role, who will be able to demonstrate their enthusiasm for the position, and to wow at interview! The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
· A true passion for customer service
· Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
· Experience of handling difficult customers, either face to face, over the phone or in writing
· A level headed and balanced approach to solving problems
· Confidence to come to a suitable decision and to stick by it
· A good standard of general education, and knowledge of Word and Excel
· The ability to respond to customer correspondence in a grammatically correct fashion
· Working knowledge of Trading Standards legislation would be a benefit
· Experience of working on a customer service desk in retail would also be an advantage

Due to training needs, you must not have any holidays between 1st September and 15th November.
