International Tax Manager / Chartered Accountant
Congleton, Cheshire Salary Circa £55,000 based on experience + Benefits Package. Websense are now looking to recruit an International Tax Manager. As a global leader of web filtering and a premier provider of web and desktop security software, Websense are recognised as one of Forbes Magazine's 2004 "Top 25 Technology Companies". They currently have 42 million seats under subscription worldwide across all industries, in small organizations and large multinational corporations. The role of the International Tax Manager is a vital one. The Tax Manager will be directly involved in the management of all taxes in the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world except US and Canada. The individual will report to the VP Tax. who is also located in Congleton. The person will be responsible for assisting in the International restructuring within the Websense group, following a significant acquisition, liaison with external advisers, filing of corporate returns (preparation is outsourced), technical research and correspondence with HMRC, and in the research, analysis and completion of all tax matters relating to the Websense's international tax structure. The successful candidate is likely to be a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) or Lawyer and a Chartered Tax Adviser. They will have a number of years experience post qualification in corporate tax. It would be advantageous if the candidate had experience of international tax, M & A tax and US GAAP reporting including FAS 109 including Fin 48. Other requirements include -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Ability to prioritize and multi tasks -Strong organizational skills. -Excellent analytical skills. -Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. -Experience with ERP systems desirable. While the role has some compliance content it is essentially a technical and planning biased post.
