Our Client is a leading provider of both turnkey and reimbursable engineering solutions and life cycle services to the nuclear, water, metals, energy and process industries in the UK and abroad.
Our client is currently seeking a Process Engineer - Nuclear for our Westlakes office, near Whitehaven in the North West of England. Qualifications Required: Interested individuals will be qualified to minimum HND, with a level of experience compatible with the position for which they are applying. Job Role:Lead functional design input to small projects, or carry out design tasks as part of a large project team within the Nuclear environment. Essential Second level further education technical qualification (eg HND), Relevant design experience, experienced in at least limited areas of own function. Carry out design activities and calculations, including the production of 2D and 3D CAD drawings, schedules, other documents, man-hour estimates for CAD work, interpreting clients technical specifications and other related activities, to meet project requirements. Lead the design activities of self and other discipline designers on a project, to ensure delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality. Check the work of more junior staff to delivery a quality functional input to projects Ensure that own work and that of more junior designers on a project complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained. Provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop both them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole. Work with other engineering functions on a project to ensure inter-disciplinary alignment and coherence. Carry out design activities at client site as required, to meet individual project or client needs.
