IT Manager required by our global fragrance and cosmetics client, with 8000 employees and approximately $4.5 B annual revenue.
Our clients UK IT department is responsible for providing hardware and software support to all our clients UK sites and divisions. The local UK team is part of our clients global IM organisation to ensure the provision of effective IM services. The local infrastructure is IBM iSeries and Windows servers running on VMWARE with a NetAPPS SAN and running Windows 2000/Active Directory. Standard office applications are MS Windows, MS Office, Lotus Notes. Enterprise applications include SAP to support logistics/commercial/financial applications, Hyperion ESSBASE for budgeting and financial reporting, MACPAC AS/400 to support manufacturing applications and Red Prairie Dispatcher Radio Frequency Warehouse Management System. UK IT Manager will report directly to the European Infrastructure Services Director, Working together with the UK application support managers to deliver IT services to our clients UK businesses. Principal responsibilities, lead and manage a team of 8 infrastructure support staff, in particular manage the UK IT help desk providing first line support to all UK users for all hardware and applications. You will be responsible for the operation of all local IT infrastructure in the UK, specifically, IBM iSeries server, Various Windows servers, LAN at each of 4 sites based on Cisco hardware, VMWARE/SAN environment at 2 UK sites, Telephony at each of 3 UK sites, Desk tops and lap tops across the UK. The successful candidate must be able to work face to face with users at all levels of seniority, including UK board, must be able to remain level headed and calm under pressure, must be able to prioritise and manage a list of tasks and user requests and justify/explain the priorities to users. You must have at least 5 years experience in a customer facing IT organisation, at least 2 years experience in a leadership role.
