RED are a leading UK recruitment consultancy based in the north-west. We deal across the UK with major main contractors and leading sub-contractors within the construction industry. For one of our leading sub-contractor clients we have a major project starting in September 2008 in the north-east of England.
We have a position available for a loading bay manager to manage a team of up to 10 operatives including FLT drivers and banksman supervising incoming deliveries and the distribution of materials to sub-contractors on the project. Candidates will ideally have previous experience supervising a team in a loading bay environment. Candidates must be proficient with booking in systems and operating a delivery management system to ensure that all deliveries to the site are in accordance with site policy and schedule. Candidates will ideally have experience working on large projects and must have been on main contractor sites. Applicants for this position must have previous supervisory experience. CSCS card minimum (management training desirable), FLT / Slinger/banksman tickets are also an advantage for this position. Standard hour per week are 50 hours with additional hours Mon-Fri and weekend hours paid at time and a half along with bank holidays. Must be able to provide references. |
