Job Title: Credit Controller
Job Description: A new division of a leading hi-tech employer has just become independent entity, moved to its own location and are now recruiting a new accounts department to support the operations. The new department will spend the initial period ensuring a smooth transition of accounting activities from the US to the UK and thereafter develop in line with the expected continued growth. One of the key positions is that of the Credit & Collections Specialist, who will work under the Finance Manager, EMEA in taking responsibility for collecting overdue receivables and managing the cash applications processes once cash is received. Activities include contacting customers, sending follow-up enquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, referring accounts to collection agencies and managing cash payments and refunds. Demonstrable experience and proven ability to effectively communicate via e-mail and telephone with customers, client services, sales and bank personnel is essential. As almost a 'start up' situation, a flexible, “can do” approach is required, as is the ability work both independently, as part of a team and across functional departments and different countries/cultures. Experience of the tchnology sector and/or SAP accounting system is desirable.
