an experienced quality professional to take full responsibility for both operational and strategic quality.
As Head of Quality you will have multi-site responsibility for the implementation, direction and development of Quality Assurance. The immediate purpose of the role is to bring about a stepped change in quality performance and people by effectively deploying all relevant improvement techniques. Your focus will be to: *Create and lead a quality improvement strategy that will realise a step change in the quality performance, environment, and attitude and behaviours across the organisation. *Co-ordinate with design, production management and the suppliers to the appropriate level of sign off. *Development and roll-out of the quality plan across the business. *Focus on appropriate quality legislation whilst standardising the quality manual. *Effective implementation of pro-active problem solving techniques using 8D methodology. *Identification of root-cause to establish permanent counter-measures. *Direct involvement with the end customer to ensure smooth handover and product satisfaction. *Implementation and support of lean manufacturing and lean product development processes. You will have a good understanding of the requirements of quality assurance in a complex, highly regulated environment. Your experience is likely to be from automotive, aerospace, or other precision engineering sectors. You will also be focused and able to provide support and guidance on relevant lean manufacturing/continuous improvement techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills - able to develop effective relationships within a 'network' structure. A genuine team player. |
