Our client are a major blue chip contractor, who pride themselves on being a very people-focused organisation, this helped them win Contract Journal's “Best Place to Work in Construction” in 2005 and 2006.
This client work within a number of sectors including health, education, custodial, leisure, commercial offices, hotels and retail, with schemes traditionally ranging from £5Million - £25Million throughout Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and SW London. Based from the offices in Surrey, our client are currently seeking Assistant Quantity Surveyors for a major scheme in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. The ideal candidate would have been working in a similar position, and would have studied or be studying towards a relevant construction qualification. This person will be working within the Commercial site team and will be responsible for the financial control of a section of the project, this whilst achieving project targets and maintaining client and supply chain relationships. Other roles Will include providing support to the Senor Site Surveyor and the ability to ensure accurate, real time reporting where required. Our client are seeking an individual who will be able to demonstrate good team working skills, good time management and the ability to prioritise and work effectively to meet given deadlines. The person should also be able to express good commercial awareness and be able to apply good judgement and demonstrate financial understanding.
