Engineering Maintenance Team Leader - Waste Electrical organisation - attractive salary, performance bonuses, and benefits
(Based in Huddersfield) CLIENT - Our client provides the most responsive nationwide servicing and comprehensive package in Electrical Waste Recycling market place with specialised divisions for WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Lamp, Battery and Copper Recycling services. Operating on a positive 'can do' approach, they successfully build long term business partnerships with their clients and go that extra mile to convince their partners that they offer the most customer orientated choice available in the market place. To complement this they have three strategically located recycling plants throughout the UK and their flagship plant in Huddersfield houses the world's largest lamp recycling plant, Europe's largest bespoke WEEE plant and the largest TV recycling plant in the world. They operate to the highest standards in waste management (PPC level) and operate the whole process on a prestigious zero landfill basis which appears to be unique to their operation. ROLE - Engineering Maintenance Team Leader – (Mechanical/Electrical Bias) These roles will require direct hands on maintenance experience ideally of WEEE recycling machinery along with guiding/leading a small team. This involves shift work of 6am till 3pm one week and 7.30 am till 5.30 pm the next. RESPONSIBILITIES •Maintain WEEE recycling machinery •Maintain Lamp recycling machinery •Maintain Mercury Retort system •Maintain Copper Cable recycling machinery •Lead small team in waste management recycling •Ensure production targets are met/exceeded •Demonstrate company's capabilities during customer/client visits •Liaise with management in the reporting of targets •Good communication skills in person, on the telephone and in written correspondence. Person spec - higher weighting more important 10 - Must have a maintenance background in electro and/or mechanical environment 10 - Knowledge of WEEE regulations preferred 10 - familiar with maintaining conveyors, processing/crushing/segregation machinery desirable 10 - Direct people management skills preferred 10 - Effective time management skills 10 - Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving and extremely busy production environment 10 - Good at motivating a small team 10 - Industrious and conscientious nature 10 - Ability to build and operate a routine and planned maintenance program 10 - Ability to organise, motivate a manage a fork truck fed routine to supply waste streams to plant 10 - Ability to accept responsibility for systemising a depollution and monitoring process on waste being fed into plant 9 - 16th edition qualifications for the Electrical role are preferred 9 - Appropriate qualifications for Mechanical role are preferred |
