Marketing Executive – Media Our customer is a world leader in monetising sports and entertainment rights in digital media. With some of the biggest global entertainment brands in its portfolio, the group is a consistent marketing innovator since 2000, and a major driving force in the commercialisation of sport and entertainment rights online, on mobile and on TV. Our customer is an innovative and fast paced digital rights services agency on the forefront of IPTV, Social Networks and Digital Entertainment in Europe, Asia and Australia. Our customer has recently been engaged by a high profile client to manage all aspects of production, technology, and marketing of their online sports site. This role will be 100% focused on developing and executing digital marketing campaigns for this product. The Marketing Executive is the primary tactical marketing role within the newly created client delivery team within our customer's organisation. The 20-strong team consists of a Commercial Head, Marketing Manager, Account Manager, Marketing Assistant, Account Assistant and a large Editorial and Production team.. The role is extremely autonomous and requires a person with exceptional self motivation, interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Day to day, the successful candidate will be located in the Agency's offices and broadcast centre at Feltham, however the role will also require travel to both Client offices in Long Acre and Great Portland Street from time to time. This is a chance for a bright and hungry digital marketer to work with a blue chip global media brand on their leading digital channel. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: •Daily involvement with Editorial and Production teams to identify and promote the key Sport content of the day •Planning and execution of longer term promotions around key sports events including Premier League, Football League, Tennis, Golf, Boxing and other sports •Syndication of sporting content via partner sites using the Client and the Agency's unique embedded video player (The V Player). •Coordination of agency partners to deliver stand alone campaigns •Cooperation with in-house client marketing teams to leverage internal cross promotion opportunities •Affiliate campaigns delivery and reporting with official and unofficial football and sport fan sites •Managing campaign timeline documents •Omniture reporting and analytical studies as directed by Marketing Manager (prior experience with Omniture Site Catalyst is favoured). This tool should be used to also feedback positive and negative results from video and editorial content to the production team daily. •Copywriting and profile maintenance for key client social networking pages •Working with internal design and development teams to construct marketing assets such as banners, email design and bespoke page creation KEY SKILLS: •The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels (internal and external) – need to represent the agency and deal with blue-chip Client •Proven passion for digital media •Formal marketing qualifications •Demonstrable experience and interest in Media and Entertainment Marketing (ideally Sport, Music and/or TV) •Excellent tactical understanding and experience with online marketing tools including e-mail, CPC, SEO, display, viral, syndication/affiliates, social networks, and PR. •Exposure to offline marketing channels including TV, DM, print, outdoor, ambient etc •Ideal candidates will have knowledge of - and practical experience with - web analytics packages (especially Google Analytics, Omniture Site Catalyst and, ComScore) •Self-confidence, autonomy and pro-activity essential EXPERIENCE: 2 + years of digital marketing (client or agency side) experience is required along with a relevant formal qualification (Business, Marketing, Digital Media etc.) Sports experience would be beneficial as would agency experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly within a rapidly moving, entrepreneurial environment and have the self confidence to be heard above the noise. Exposure to the politics and competitive environment of a large media brand (Sky, BBC, ITV, The Guardian etc..) would be helpful. |
