Role Summary
Our client, a leading Microsoft CRM partner are currently recruiting for Field Service Management Principle Consultant. Providing technical and delivery expertise to the Field Service Management Consultancy Delivery Team. It is an opportunity for gifted individuals to use their proven technical and consultancy skills in FSM Consultancy. Essence of Role To carry out consulting engagements, delivering against customer requirements and expectations. The individual should be completely competent and self-sufficient in the development and configuration of given pieces of work to tight timescales and with a minimum of supervision. The individual may have involvement throughout the whole project life cycle, e.g. participating in design workshops, constructing solution designs, configuration, testing, assisting with test planning, UAT support, etc. Depending on the size of the engagement, the individual may have a team of junior consultants to manage, and be accountable for the quality of their deliverables In this capacity the individual will be needed to carry out the following tasks: * Design, development and configuration as assigned. * Participate in the production of documentation for assigned projects. * Team Lead up to 5 fellow staff members and be responsible for the quality of their deliverables. * Use appropriate operating systems, hardware, tools. * Use configuration management tools/procedures to ensure consistent monitoring/documenting of baselines for formal test and delivery. * Assist in monitoring/documenting the reporting, investigation and outcome of all defects and problems reported. * Succinct and relevant communication to relevant management and Project Management staff. The individual will be expected to support the sales team and other consulting staff in pre-sales engagements with specific customers as required. Role Dimension * Projects may vary from under 100 to over 1000 man days. * Projects may be based in the Staines office or on customer site for some/all of the time. Typical Outputs * Design and Test Documentation. * Install and configure mBusiness applications including customisation codes and/or setting up configuration data in accordance with the agreed standards. * Write database level functions and procedures in accordance with the agreed standards. * Tested code/ bug solutions. * Establish themselves as a leader of a delivery team and take on responsibility for becoming a specialist in specific areas of the team and then taking ownership for it's delivery. Technical/Professional Expertise • Experience in delivering complex FSM deployments. • Experience in a Consultancy environment. • An understanding of project life cycle and applicable software engineering concepts. • Knowledge of using Java, C#, and/or .NET. • Educated to Degree Level. • Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience of the following would also be an advantage: • Exposure to differing project methodologies (Waterfall, DSDM, etc.). • Proven Team Lead experience. • Knowledge in delivery of Viryanet, Dexterra/Concert, Click, or other Mobility Applications or scheduling packages. • Experience of pre-sales – carrying out high level design, feasibility studies, proof of concepts etc. |
