Due to further expansion my client has an opportunity for an experienced, self motivated Shift Manager to work within a fast paced Food Manufacturing Environment in Halifax.
CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF NUMERICAL / ENGINEERING CERTIFICATION The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in man-management and will take charge of a team of 50+ staff. You will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing staff performance and ensuring staff morale and motivation is consistently high. Responsibilities also include all aspects of Budget management, continuous improvements. Applicants will need to be numerate with good GCSE/A level Maths results or a degree with a strong numerical emphasis preferable in Engineering. Activities to include:- Performance Drive - measurement & analysis of information, inc. wastage, output, labour, quality, hygiene, health & safety - generating and implementing improvement plans. Staff Management - Appraisals, Discipline and Grievances, Addressing team development and training requirements. Skills / Experience (Essential) * Previous Management Experience. * Background in high volume, high speed or FMCG Environment. * Thorough understanding of KPIs, Budgets and factory operations. * Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualification (Desirable). * Experience within the Food Industry an advantage. Shift Pattern:- Double Days Earlies - Mon - Thurs 06:00 - 14:00, Fri 06:00 - 12:00 Lates - Mon - Thurs 14:00 - 21:00, Fri 12:00 - 18:00 Flexibility is required as management cover will be required on a weekend shift rota Salary:- £31 - £39K plus excellent benefits package incl. pension |
