Our client offers Industrial & Vehicle Service solutions based on pneumatic tools and advanced electric powered assembly tools. Their customers are found in the Motor Vehicle Industry (MVI), Aerospace, Light Assembly, General Industry and Vehicle repair and service. The company conducts business in North America, Europe and Asia and employs approximately 900 people worldwide.
They are currently seeking suitable candidates for the role of Key Account Manager to cover Midlands to the South, to be responsible for significant growth in their customer share of the UK Motor Vehicle Industry market sector. The position reports to the Business Line Manager in Swindon and will involve the development and implementation of a specific business plan / strategy for targeted account development. Key responsibilities will include: • To follow the strategic business plan for the growth and development of the company / division. • Responsibility for achieving financial targets, sales growth and profitability through development and management of targeted accounts. • Formulating strong and focused Key Account business plans and understanding market share by area and by customer. • Analysis of competitor activity and management of new product introduction into the customer base. • Providing value based product sales presentations The successful candidate will ideally have an Engineering qualification or equivalent by experience, as well as extensive experience in Key Account Management or technical sales. Current experience of working within the Motor Vehicle / Automotive Industry, Tier 1 accounts, Tier 2 accounts or / & Machine Tool Builders is also a pre-requisite. You must also have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with a very flexible approach to work, demonstrable influencing skills, excellent organisation skills plus good business acumen, all of which are the essential qualities needed for this role.
