Job title – Quantity Surveyor
Our Client are general building contractors, based in North Shields, with a turnover of £3M. In recent years they have worked on a number of local authority and housing association properties and done significant work in schools, universities, health centres and churches. They have a comprehensive joiners shop and have an excellent reputation for customised joinery work. This is an excellent opportunity for the Quantity Surveyor, who must have experience of domestic and industrial plumbing and heating works as well as a good building knowledge. Job description a) Take off quantities from drawings, specifications and / or site measurements to allow accurate pricing , ordering of materials, or preparation of valuations or final accounts. b) Prepare cash flow forecasts c) Carry out valuations on contracts to ensure regular cash flow in association with Client`s Quantity Surveyor. d) Agree final accounts with Client, Architect, and Quantity Surveyor. e) Agree payments for subcontractors on all contracts.
