Group Buyer
We have a new vacancy for a Group Buyer to work for a world leading Design and Manufacturing company with a base in the Birmingham area of the West Midlands. The purpose of the role is to facilitate the purchasing/ procurement of finished goods, components and electrical items from Europe and the Far East. As Group Buyer, main responsibilities will include - "Source and prepare RFQs, evaluate tenders and vendors, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships in line with the company strategy and operational requirements "Market Knowledge-attending trade fairs, qualifying vendors "RFQ preparation: developing detailed RFQs, based on business needs "RFQ tendering "RFQ evaluation including eAuctioning as appropriate "Supplier Negotiations "Contract agreement "Recording contract performance "Supplier Relationship/Performance Management: developing and communicating scorecards The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: "3 years of experience in purchasing in a related sector, including experience in Eastern Europe and/or the Far East "CIPS qualified "Proven experience of project management and price negotiations "Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, plus full proficiency with Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes and the Internet The salary of this role is £27,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience, pension, healthcare and all of the benefits associated with working for a global corporation. The location is commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Dudley, Walsall, Lichfield, Tamworth, Redditch, Warwick and Coventry amongst many other areas of the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
