Job Title: Branch Manager
Job Description: Person Specification:

Commercial Director / Area Manager.

Designation of any staff supervised by the post holder:
Consultants and Administrators

Job Purpose:
The effective running and profitability of the branch recruitment office.

Principle duties and responsibilities:

1Branch profitability – Endeavour to always run the branch at a profit.

2Targets – Assist in the setting of and negotiation of temporary and permanent staff targets. Instigate solutions if targets are not being met.

3Recruitment – Assist in the recruitment, induction and training of new branch staff.

4Staff – Supervise, motivate and develop staff. Ensure weekly one zones complete. Liaise with directors re: training programmes, sales campaigns etc.

5Company Policies – Ensure that the company's standard policies are adhered to.

6Analysis – Produce weekly analysis figures for Director.

7Liaison with Head Office, other Branch Managers and Key Personnel Group Directors.



General Duties

1Interviewing, testing and selection of applicants for both temporary and permanent vacancies.

2Input of applicants details to Aspire.

3Canvassing on new vacancies from clients, local press and job boards and arrange for Terms and Conditions to be sent out.

4Input of vacancies on Aspire.

5Liaison with client companies to discuss applicants for their vacancies.

6Arrange interviews, confirming times of appointment with client and applicant.

7Writing out Curricula Vitae where appropriate, expected by client companies. Sending out same after agreement received from applicant.

8Follow up of interview with applicants and client companies, confirmation of fees and start dates.

9Confirmation of success or failure of interviews with interested parties.

10Liaison with Consultants and Temporary Staff Controller.

11Liaison with client companies and applicants re: salaries, start dates, refunds, negotiated fees, temp contracts, client visits, future vacancies, interviews and any other matters.

12Dealing with introduction letters, credits, success letters to clients and applicants and invoice documentation and instructions.

13Deactivate computerised vacancies and candidates when entered into history section.

14Oversee and help with temporary bookings as and when necessary.

15Supervision of permanent, temporary and administration divisions.

16Any other duties.


Hours of Work

8.30am – 5.30pm – 1 hour for lunch to be taken between 12 noon and 2pm.
