My client is currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join there team based in Chertsey. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, expanding organization who are experts in the acquisition, planning, design, construction (ADC) and management of telecommunications base station sites and related infrastructure.
Overall Purpose: To be responsible for the preparation of planning and construction drawings using AUTOCAD or MICROSTATION software and survey/design information provided by the engineer. Principal Job Responsibilities: - To prepare Planning and Construction drawings using autocad or microstation and - - - survey notes, site photographs and mapping software in liaison with the engineer. - Update planning and construction drawings in accordance with engineers instructions - Prepare drawing issue registers and drawing packages for issue. - Keep accurate record of time spent on specific projects. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum of 3 - 5 years CAD draughting in Civil/Structural engineering or related industry with experience in a CAD office environment. Desirable: - Have a recognized ONC/HNC in Civil/Structural Engineering or related industry equivalent. - Experience of CAD draughting within a Telecommunications related industry. - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other industry related computer software.
