Network Solutions Architect–Up to £54,200 + up to 10% bonus + car allowance + bens
Location: Maidenhead We are looking for a Network Solutions Architect to act as a representative of the IP Transformation team providing expertise in the design of Next Generation Networks (NGNs) and the transformation of legacy customer networks to NGNs. The position requires a high level of understanding of next generation converged network solutions and applications and how these can be applied to specific customer problems in the migration of customers and services. The role combines strong technical experience with the ability to interface at various customer levels, including primary decision maker and executive level. Key responsibilities will include: Establishing customer business needs and map these into viable solutions To be an authority in NGN converged solutions, including IMS, responsible for advising customers on business, operational, systems and network solutions for complex IP transformation and migration engagements. To represent the company at public forums and publications. Influence customer decision-making processes based on deep understanding of motivations and business drivers within the customer operation. Essential qualifications: Track record in the telecommunications industry, with experience in the implementation, design and transformation of legacy networks to next generation converged networks, for service providers, cable operators and enterprises. Strong academic record with relevant degree and Industry Certifications. Polished professional consultant with a balance of technical, business and interpersonal competence Brings existing strong customer relationships with trusted advisor status. Very flexible to routinely travel across UK and Europe working from Client locations Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and reporting skills Track record of technical and consulting experience to win and up scope business Operates well in a matrix managed organisation Mentors, guides and develops colleagues through knowledge sharing. Act as a Subject Matter Expert to design and implement solutions. Good understanding of voice and data networking applications Good understanding of access technologies such as PSTN, ISDN and Broadband Good understanding of VoIP and IMS technologies Knowledge of LLU / ISP operational environment Background in the application of industry standards Experience in migration of subscribers from legacy PSTN, Broadband and other access technologies to next generation IP networks.
