Assistant Geotechnical Engineer - Gloucestershire

We are retained by a long term key client to fill an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer role. Are you an ambitious Engineer with a relevant degree and some experience in geotechnical engineering? Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved both in design work for their proprietary steel screw piling systems (designed and manufactured for rail location platforms and telecoms masts and towers) and also site supervision. Excellent opportunity for design work and also to gain exposure to manufacturing, installation and innovative product development. You will be developing your client liaison skills along with the technical elements of the role. The size and growth potential of this company also offers the possibility for rapid advancement. The company is a steel structures specialist carrying out design, fabrication and installation, particularly for wide ranging and the more interesting telecoms masts and towers projects (including large guyed structures and trees), and also steel screw piling systems, walkways, bridges, and even structural public artworks! They have a strong track record of growth and profitability, and have developed the business well in existing and new areas. They are currently ahead of targets for the year and developing new areas of business, particularly in the massive rail and highways sectors. Benefits: Very competitive salary to attract the right candidate (circa £26,000 plus bonus and benefits). Also pension contribution (3%), 25 days holiday, and profit related bonus (circa 10%). Staff are genuinely looked after in this business - (they are a good client but not frequent - due to a low staff turnover!)
