Financial Reporting Accountant £28-35K Neg My client is a very successful services business located on the outskirts of Plymouth city centre (with parking). Due to expansion, they are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accounting to join their large finance team. Primary purpose of role: Managing the month-end accounting process for the company and producing management accounts in the required format to the required timetable. Provide commentary and detailed analysis to Finance Senior Management in time for the monthly reviews and submissions to head office. Supply appropriate information to meet Audit and Bank requirements. Assist in producing the statutory accounts. To provide a quality assurance review of the companies monthly accounting activities, ensuring that transactions are correctly posted, error rectification activity takes place where appropriate, and that personnel have the appropriate knowledge and documentation to ensure that postings are correctly and efficiently processed and accounted. Support the continuing development of the companies accounting processes and systems. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Academic: The Reporting Accountant is expected to have a CCAB recognised accounting qualification. Experience: The Reporting Accountant must have had at least five years experience in a large accounting operation. Reporting to the Payments Team Supervisor, this role will be responsible for ensuring the prompt and accurate processing of all payment requests. The Payments Team processes high volumes of CHAPs, cheque receipts and payments and the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines is essential. Strong organisational and communication skills are also essential.
