A leading Communications Supplier for Military and Civil customers requires a Sales & Marketing Manager within its Military Specialist Communications business unit. This position will be responsible for leading the sales of their Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) products. The market sector is specifically force protection against RCIEDs, with technology cross over into the area of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).
Responsibilities within this role include: Regular and co-ordinated contact with customers Identification and development of sales opportunities and order forecasting International liaison with other parts of the business Regularly reporting market and prospect status Communicating bid requirements and supporting the bid team Participating in proposal preparation and reviews Developing Market assessments as required Assisting Marketing Communications Timely provision of the “Prospect” phase review material Assisting the project manager to maximise the effects of project successes and minimise the effects of any potential project difficulties. In conjunction with Project Managers, identify and exploit follow-on business opportunities May involve some overseas activity in support of the International Sales team The successful candidate is likely to have knowledge of the application of Force Protection ideally gained from a military career probably having a post at SO1 or SO2 level. Appropriate Tactics Training and Procedures (TTP). Knowledge of UK defence procurement processes and UK MoD, DSTL and DE&S organisations.
