SENIOR CI & E DESIGN ENGINEER
LOCATION: Derby SALARY AND BENEFITS: £20,000 - £35,000 Dependant on Experience + additional Company Benefits. Our Client is based in Derby and urgently requires a permanent Senior Design Engineer. as a company they are able to offer a range of engineering services to the industrial and power generation sectors world wide, some of the services include: *The development and design of Low Nox abatement technology *Combustion Equipment *Supplementary firing systems *Boiler control systems *Boiler plant upgrades ESSENTIALLY TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL: *Be a professional, Senior Design Engineer educated to at least a degree level or equivalent. *Have process knowledge of conventional fossil-fired power plant boilers and related equipment. *Have the knowledge to specify controls equipment, instrumentation and low voltage electrical devices. *Be able to take a project from proposal all the way through detailed design to site commissioning. *Be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Auto CAD or a similar CAD Package. *Have a working knowledge of the current European standards applicable to the power industry. *Have a full, clean driving licence. *have excellent good written and verbal communications. *be able to work unsupervised and also to make a leading contribution to the success of the project team. *Have the ability to work from your own initiative *Be prepared to work away from home as some UK and overseas travel . As an added bonus, having experience of Low Nox and/or super-critical technologies will be massive boost to your chances of becoming the Senior Design Engineer. Having the confidence to demonstrate your expertise in analogue boiler and combustion controls designs from first principles as well as being a source of Engineering expertise will greatly improve your chances of securing the role as Senior Design Engineer. Role Information: *As the Senior Design Engineering you would be working in a leading (but non- supervisory) role as a part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers. *Concept Definition and scheme design. *Overseeing detailed design. *Some aspects of manufacture, assembly, installation, test and commissioning.
