Systems Design Analyst required in Windsor, Berkshire to translate the complete business requirements into valid systems implementation requirements sitting between the business analysts and the development teams for world leading financial software house. The role will require strong analytical and communication skills, ideally with Project Management skills and this analysis will reduce the risk and costs of development up front.
The product is built on Microsoft technology including VC++, MFC, and RDBMS Oracle / SQL Server (database design) moving towards C# .Net so any knowledge in these areas would be advantage, or knowledge of financial instruments such as derivatives (SWAPS, Options) would be useful although can be learnt. The role will be delivering high value and time critical enhancements for clients and you will be responsible for determining how the functionality will be designed so its meets up with the business requirements of the project and the architecture requirements of the product. You will be using established business requirements and architectural guidelines, developing functional and design specifications, which detail the implementation and improved functionality. Other responsibilities include reviewing systems test phases, and with input on how to fix defects found during the project testing and UAT phases. You will also be responsible for managing the project delivery cycle subsequent to the business analysis phase, and status for release management. This role might suitable for a variety of different backgrounds a developer who has some design skills and wants a lets hands on role, Business Analyst who wants a more technical role, or a product implementation / support background.
