An IT Help Desk Technician required to join major law practice in Tunbridge Wells.
The Help Desk will act as the front line service from the IT department to all its users, and will, where time permits, assist with desk side assistance within the user base. The primary responsibility of this role is for the smooth running of the IT Help Desk. This person is responsible for logging all calls, and wherever possible in resolving the problems. In addition development of various web sites as required. Main duties to include: Provide professional, efficient and accurate response to any user wishing to report a fault, problem or seeking information or advice, by providing telephone support as appropriate. Ensure Help Desk calls are taken in a professional manner, logged in the Help Desk system and their status monitored. Initiate, document and implement Help Desk standards and procedures. Where necessary provide the user with a call reference number and information as to the timing of the proposed fix. Where necessary pass calls to other team members within the IT Department in a timely fashion, to ensure minimum user downtime. Ensure that IT management are made aware of any issues that require escalation. Perform system and user administration and house keeping as necessary. Supply where possible or necessary, support at the user's desk, as agreed with by IT management. Follow all IT procedures as laid down in documented manuals and be responsible for documenting Help Desk procedures. Responsible for the maintenance and development of the firm's intranet and web site. Maintain a visible presence within the assigned area of support and ensure that you are contactable during agreed working times. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing and new technologies in use within the firm and ensure adequate understanding is achieved of the activities and procedures within your assigned areas of support. Hours vary to cover shift 8:00am to 6:15pm Monday to Friday and some additional hours may be required. Salary: negotiable Can all applicants please apply attaching an up to date CV. |
