Trainer - Customer Service Group (CSG)
To report to the CSG Functional ILS Manager for welfare and personal development issues and day to day project work to the Project Support Manager(s). The Trainer will support the Training manager in adopting a blended training solution approach to ensure the most efficient & cost effective approach. Technical tasks: Conduct a job analysis to determine the skill levels of the target audience i.e. Operator & Maintainer level. Conducting a task analysis to determine the skill levels required to operate the new system Identifying the pre-requisite knowledge and experience that the target audience must have Perform the training gap by comparing the task analysis and the job analysis Design training material and identify all training aides and equipment necessary to implement the training solution Delivering the training course to the target audience To ensure that the required templates and standards are adhered to To suggest or recommend improvements to achieve a more effective delivery Day to day management tasks: Provide inputs to project progress / design reviews Final Report containing the Analysis, justifying the recommended training solution To provide performance metrics for monitoring resource and performance To offer expert guidance and support in managing the Training strategy. To support development of robust processes and procedures for the production of Training To help in the provision of ITT responses, cost estimates and schedules To provide Training deliverables on time & to budget To present to internal and external audiences as required To ensure that the correct and required standards are applied To use the correct style guides and templates as required To provide resource support to non-training CSG Support Functions when required To ensure that all Training comments are managed, recorded and actioned in a timely manner To provide Supportability source data to other Support Engineering disciplines when required eg ARM LSA, Tech Manuals. Qualifications and/or Skills Essential : Degree, Diploma or BTEC in a teaching discipline or degree in an engineering discipline. Proven track record in training analysis, design and delivery for high technology systems. Or be an experience Armed Forces Trainer with suitable experience. The ability to liaise and deal with internal and external customers confidently. A proven track record of managing multiple tasks and the ability to work autonomously within an effective team environment utilising. Blended Training methodologies - Instructor led Training (ILT) Web-based Training (WBT). On-Job-Training (OJT), Simulation Training (ST), Emulation Training (ET) Desirable: Be confident & experienced to make work related decisions independently. Comprehensive understanding and ability to interpret and action Training development specifications, standards, methodologies and terminology as required.SATCOM experience, Military communications understanding Ability to adapt quickly and cope with varying workloads. Be confident and able to work to given deadlines. Be a team player and should be able to work autonomously. Experience in the following would be an advantage: IP Networks, SCOT systems, TT&C, RX & TX Comms. Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
