The company is a well establish manufacturer of custom designed pressure equipment for the process industries supplied to the food, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries. Due to significantly increased activity, the company is seeking a Mechanical Contracts Engineer to work within the Engineering department. The Engineering department is responsible for the timely execution of contracts involving all manufactured products. The post holder key responsibilities will be support all the functions this role. The ideal applicant will embrace challenges and be from a sound technical background which will be mechanically bias. You will possess commercial and quality awareness and be a proactive team player who can communicate, both written & verbally at all levels. Ideally you will have 3 years experiences from within a contract design / contract design environment, preferably from a company designing and/or manufacturing one off custom designed pressure valves / equipment. You will have experience of ASME, VIII, PD5500, ASME B31.3 design codes and working with client specifications such as DEP or NORSOK would be an advantage along with CAD (Solid Edge preferred). Your manufacturing methods will include welding and knowledge of NDT methods. You will also be competent with Microsoft Office packages and pressure vessel design software (Finglow) The company offer a remuneration package of around £32,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits, Normal working hours will be structured over 39.5 hours per week from 9am till 5.30pm Monday to Friday although applicants must possess a flexible working attitude.
