Estimator required to work in a Hampshire.
Our client is renowned for their excellent reputation and a history of prestigious projects, have built a strong culture of trust and commitment that extends to both clients and suppliers, which has been generated by building relationships that exceed the expectations of all parties and lead to successive projects. As a result of this continued success they are now looking for an estimator / senior estimator to join a busy estimating department. As a candidate you will : Have a thorough attention to detail and have established a strong reputation for first class service and reliability. Ensure efficient use of materials by liaising closely with the other internal departments. Carefully read and comprehend the tender documents including terms, conditions, bond guarantees, warranties etc and seek advice and assistance when appropriate. Identify sources and obtain estimates of materials and sub-contract prices for tenders in accordance with Company policy and procedures. Prepare tender estimates based on optional construction methods, outputs, programmes and resource availability. Initiate and clearly communicate ideas to improve the commercial return of projects through alternative design methods, materials etc. Identify potential difficulties and or risks with recommendations on possible solutions. Produce a detailed analytical breakdown of the estimate into the allowance categories used, corrected to accord with the accepted tender sum in advance of the pre-contract meeting. Maintain and up-date personal skills to meet current and future operational needs.
