An experienced technical assistant is required for a dynamic and ambitious manufacturing company within the Northamptonshire area. If you have experience of working within a procurement or technical department and are looking for a new challenge this could be the role for you.
As a technical assistant you will need to provide administrative support to the procurement/technical team ensuring care and attention is taken at all times. The key responsibilities you will be dealing with are; ensuring new sources are approved through supplier approval procedure (prior to supply of retail customers), monitor supplier performance through pesticide residue results and keep suppliers informed of findings, compile data charts for residue test results, undertake technical projects as required by our supermarket customers and keep up to date on-line data information. All applicants need to be computer literate in word, excel & internet, have excellent written and spoken English skills and have a good eye for detail. You will need to be from a food/beverage manufacturing background and experience of working with Good Agricultural Practises is an advantage. This is a Monday – Friday role within easy travelling distance from Northampton, Wellingborough, Market Harborough, Kettering, Oundle and Peterborough.
