We are recruiting for the Newbury head office of a national group of distribution companies. They require an Internal Auditor to join their team.
This will involve carrying out operations audits, (including H&S and security checks), checking compliance with the internal systems and procedures, investigating issues, reconciling stock take results. The role will require extensive UK travel to the company's distribution centres to complete internal audits in line with the company's requirements. You will then be liaising with the Head of Internal Audit to report back findings. This role is mainly system and procedures based rather than accounts. Ideally, applicants will have previous audit and reporting experience, even if not very extensive. We are looking for people who can work independently setting their own schedule and working tightly to these deadlines. You need to be assertive and able to sort things out in a friendly manner. Prior knowledge of Audit Software (IDEA) would be beneficial but not necessary. A full UK driving license is also required. The successful applicant will be offered a salary in the range £20,000-25,000 per annum, depending on experience. There are excellent career opportunities within the group.
