A highly successful software and services company providing integrated IT solutions to the UK fashion and lifestyle sector has an immediate requirement for a talented technical Programme Manager to join their team.
The role is an internal role and will be based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire however, some time will be spent at client sites throughout the UK. Their solutions include integrating merchandising, warehousing, distribution, allocation, replenishment, sourcing and point of sale into a central database. They are looking for an experienced programme manager with a technical background to deliver technical projects. Projects are likely to be complex in nature with multiple components. You will have a structured approach combined with a flexible can-do attitude. You will have responsibility for ensuring that the project delivers to time, budget and quality. An important part of this role will be managing stakeholder and third party supplier relationships. It is essential that you will be able to demonstrate suitable experience in this area and be a very confident communicator. We are interested in talking to programme managers who have one or more of the following: •An understanding of the processes, responsibilities and management issues that face "bricks and mortar" retail businesses as they enter the consumer eCommerce market. •Experience of transactional eCommerce solutions, particularly with respect to content management, payment systems, PCI compliance and fraud prevention. •An understanding of the special issues (technical and cultural) associated with Hosted/ASP/SaaS applications. •A working knowledge of network architectures and network security issues, e.g. network performance, QoS, DMZ's, SSL, single sign-on, Oracle, Server hosting etc. You will likely hold a relevant project management qualification or be able to display suitable experience in this area. You will have good documentation, presentation and administration skills, together with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Any experience of the retail sector will be a distinct advantage.
