Due to a rapid expansion and ever increasing orders, my client is looking for a hands on Production Engineer to join a busy engineering team, This person should have a good working knowledge of CNC lathes.
This person will be responsible for, setting machines for current product, continuous improvement etc… We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate good communication skills and can prioritise workloads. Someone with common sense that can use their own initiative and thrive under pressure. • An Experienced production engineer with CNC Lathe experience Duties: • Supervising and managing a small team of operators. • Setting machine for current products, • Continual improvement, • Control of consumable items • Quality assurance Working Hours: The position will require a minimum of 3 months training with the current engineering team to learn and understand the disciplines and procedures. Upon completion of the training the position will then be transferred onto 1 of 3 shifts, Earlies 06:00 – 14:00, Lates 14:00 – 22:00 or nights 22:00 – 06:00 This is to be decided dependant on requirement at the time of training completion. Machines Used: A range from 5 to 9 axis lathes. Mainly using Fanuc controls Also a number of 2 axis lathes (Fanuc Control) |
