Store Manager required!
This position is for an enthusiastic hands-on manager working in the specialised tool equipment market, for a national company that requires someone who can manage & motivate a small team of people, and can demonstrate a good knowledge of the product, but can also deliver results, as well as developing new business within their local market. Principle responsibilities: - Achieve turnover targets for designated store - Control of shrinkage, labour costs, overheads(direct and indirect) - Maintain accuracy of stock file to within agreed limits - Motivation of sales staff to achieve defined sales targets - Promote good customer service practise - Maintain administration standards - Maintain housekeeping standards - Promote and maintain safe working practises in all areas Essential: - Proven track record in management of small teams - Demonstrate achievement of work targets specifically sales/systems - Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative/self starter - Proved ability to work within guidelines and procedures - Has a good understanding of computers - Demonstrate knowledge in technical product range - Previous retail management experience preferably in hard goods - Experience of running sales campaigns - Demonstrate interviewing skills - Knowledge of health and safety law |
