My client is based near Aylesbury in a beautiful yet rural setting. My client is a full service corporate communications agency, which enables companies to communicate and engage with their employees, prospects and customers to motivate, educate, reward, entertain, add proof and stimulate.
Working within the established development team you will be providing ongoing design, development and maintenance of my client's online applications and websites. Job Responsibilities •To be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of online applications and websites •To create engaging and visually stunning online communications pieces •To troubleshoot, debug and enhance the current online applications (specification/change documentation provided) to ensure smooth and efficient operation of projects on an ongoing basis •To design and deliver web solutions as directed by the Technical Director •To work in partnership with project teams to deliver satisfactory solutions •To create plans for new projects •To give technical advice and guidance •To interpret client briefs and build applications that: are user friendly are visually engaging have correct application of data have working functionality •To test web development and peer review •To deliver projects on budget and to timescale •To provide technical support •To undertake training as required and keep up with industry innovations and developments to ensure that applications are operating as efficiently as possible •To undertake any other activity as defined by the Technical Director as being within the scope and range of the Web/Flash Developer role. Person Specification •The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience of web and Flash development and an active interest in developing knowledge and experience further •A broad framework of development knowledge and experience which can be applied and developed further to meet a diverse range of business needs. This experience will need to have been gained in a business environment •Good design skills and highly proficient in Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash •Good working knowledge of Flash Actionscript (ideally Actionscript 3) and ability to work with other developers' Flash code •Good working knowledge of W3C standards and guidelines, HTML and CSS •Ability to integrate Flash with XML and databases •Experience of working with ASP .NET •Demonstrable problem solving skills and the ability to analyse, debug and correct code-based errors •Ability to multi-task and manage the delivery of short-term tasks alongside longer-term projects •Can-do attitude to problem-solving •High attention to detail and accuracy •Good communication skills with the ability to speak and write clearly and effectively to understand and deliver application developments •Ability to work independently or within a team •Willingness and ability to develop skills and experience. |
